Iulia is a seasoned business professional with over a decade of experience in HR, digital marketing, sales, and administration. Her expertise spans a wide range of skills, including business analysis, project management, accounting, market research, change management, interpersonal communication, strategic planning, problem-solving, IT integration, design thinking, and analytical prowess.

Throughout various roles, she has demonstrated exceptional organizational abilities and effective communication, consistently prioritizing quality. Renowned for her dynamism, adaptability, and autonomy, Iulia excels with precision and seamlessly adjusts to new challenges.

Since 2018, she has held the position of VP Events for OWIT Lake Geneva, assuming the role of President in 2022-2023 term. She is dedicated to establishing impactful personal and professional development programs for women in both local and international industries and NGOs.

Economics and Finance Professional with extensive expertise in quantitative modelling, asset and liability management (ALM), performance and risk management, strategic balancesheet optimization, financial risk modelling (VaR, duration gap), capital adequacy planning, and regulatory compliance (Basel III, LCR, NSFR), delivering high-impact KPI/KRI reporting and presentations for senior decision-makers. With dual PhDs in Economics and Finance from University of Geneva (2014) and from Bucharest University of Economic Studies (2009), she currently serves as a Senior Researcher & Lecturer at University of Geneve and University of Fribourg, teaching across Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, and Executive programs. She is passionate about applying AI/ML methods to drive innovation in finance, and her research spans sustainable and digital finance, banking risk management, and macroprudential policy, with over 100 peer-reviewed publications, and a strong presence at international conferences. Active in governance and professional networking, including UNIGE Quality Committee, OWIT, Club Finance Genève,  OpRisko, Basel III compliance groups, she has worked closely with the public and private sector on compliance, reporting, policy formulation, executive program coordination, and advisory roles. Trilingual in English, French, and Romanian, she integrates academic excellence with practical insight to support data-driven decision-making and sustainable innovation in modern finance.
