Room to Read - world change starts with educated children :)
On the 7th March International Women Day Event took place. It is a yearly event organised by OWIT Lake Geneva and ITC (International Trade Center).
This year we talked about "Empowerment through entrepreneurship: from principles to practice". More than 100 women and men came to listen to the speakers, share their experience and network.
At this occasion the participants could make a personal donation to Room to Read (OWIT's preferred charity) which will open the doors of opportunity to 5 more girls by financing their 10-years school education.
We collected 531 CHF :)
We would like to thank every giver for their generosity (especially the woman who came to me after the official part and donated 50 CHF more saying that OWIT President's explanation about this good cause inspired her to do so :))
